Busy weekend!

Friday night:
Headed to our first San Jose Sharks game with Kelly and Brian O'Sullivan. Amy G babysat our two kids and little Carter Thomas. We had a bbq at home before the game. We were all amazed at how many people where at this exhibition game... the place was packed and everyone was glad to see the Sharks beat the Phoenix Coyotes, 2-1. We were in Brian's seats which were awesome - right on the redline in section 228. Hope we get to go again!

Saturday:
In the morning we had Volleyball games at Bramhall Park for the kids and I.

After that, all four of us headed to a pre-game Tailgate party with our friends John and Janet. They put out an awesome spread of linguica (Portugeuse sausages) and rolls, salads, beans, and drinks. We partied and ate for nearly two hours before the game. Paul lent us tickets for the game and I have to say they were the best seats I've ever had for a college football game - right on the 50 yard line and only 14 rows up. It was a good game with San Jose State closing a 20 pt deficit against Nevada, but it didn't end as we hoped as we lost 23-30.

Sunday:
I rode the motorcycle up to Coyote Point to go sailing with my friends Dennis, his brother David, his sister-in-law Nancy and his friend Mary. It was an awesome ride up the penisula on 280 to 92 to 101. Sailing was a blast too... it started out very light and within an hour we had put up the storm jib and put a reef in the main. White caps and 20 knot winds made for some very fun sailing. Lunch was back in the harbor aboard Soliquey - yummy!

That afternoon we went to the Italian Family Festival at Santana Row with our friends, Hali and her niece, Hali. We all had a good time eating our way around the food booths. Some fun music and even a trip to Border's Books.

Take it easy, Steve
